I just recently moved to Nederland, Texas from California to be closer to my parents. I'm 30 and love children. I was a licensed child care provider in California for 4 years. I provided for up to 13 children from ages 0-13. I developed age appropriate lesson plans that encouraged physical, emotional, social, and academic growth. I maintained individual student portfolios including a skills checklist, labeled work samples, and narrative reports on areas needing improvements. I closed my business due to the fact that government funding stopped. The cost of living is high in California, which means when the funding was affected, parents couldn't afford to pay for day care out of their pocket and majority of my parents either had to stop working or use a family member for free to care for the children. All my family resides in ether Louisiana and Texas, so I made the decision to move closer to my parents here in Nederland. I'm a fun, honest, and loyal person and can be a great provider for children.
