Hello! My name is Miriam and I will be turning 19 this summer. I love playing and taking care of children and know just how difficult it is for working parents when summer vacation comes around from seeing my own parents struggle with my two little brothers, now ages 7 and 10. As the oldest child and with my parents working so much, I became like a second mother to my little brothers and am now very comfortable and good at taking care of children of all ages.

I've also babysat for many other families through the years and became well known for always greeting parents back to a clean house and happy children. My favorite activity to do with children is read to them in funny voices and drawing with them (if that's age appropriate, of course). In households with multiple children I'm great at preventing or stopping fights and making sure no one is excluded from games or other activities.

If you would like, I can also teach your child a new language! I know a little Spanish and American Sign Language, and am fluent in Japanese. Especially with Japanese, I know many songs and games children will love that I teach with. Of course, if you would like me to tutor your child in any other subject like reading or math, I would also be very happy to do this for you without any extra cost.

Your children will always be safe with me. I do everything I can to make sure they are always safe and have never had any bigger problems than a small bump on the head. No history doesn't mean no future though. I am not currently certified, but I do know emergency first aid and CPR for children of all ages in case something bigger does happen. I can also assure you that I will never panic and always put your children's safety as my highest priority.

In January, I will be starting college at Mount Holyoke College and majoring in Biology and Asian Studies with an emphasis on Chinese. After that, I hope to get into medical school and become an OB/GYN, but that's far in the future. Until then though, I would love to be able to give you the extra hand you need to take care of your precious child!! :)
