I have had a lot of experience caring for children. I have been a mom for 12 years. I am a laid-back mom, meaning I don't mind dirt and mud. My son loves sports and reading. I have provided child care for several of my friends who work outside the home, mainly because my son was able to come with me, if needed since he was friends with the children. I babysat during the summer for two 4 year olds and a 2 year old for two years.
The job ended when the children entered preschool. I have babysat for my friend who went back to work after her son was born. I took care of a 3 month old, 4 year old and 7 year old during the summer. Then once school started, I just watched the baby until their dad decided to stay home with the kids to save money. I have also worked with older children. From February - June 2009 I worked for a family I met through care. com. I was responsible for the daily care of 3 children, a 7 year old and 5 year old boy/girl twins. I woke the children and got them up and ready for school. The 7 year old had to be to school for breakfast by 7:30 then the twins and I had the morning to play and eat lunch before their bus came to pick them up. I had 2 hours then went to get the 7 year old from school before the bus dropped the twins off. I supervised homework, snack and play until their mom got home. This position ended when the children entered the school provided daycare so that the 5 year old boy, who was visually impaired, could get used to the building where he now goes to school. I am a twin and I do have experience watching infant twins, as well. I am looking for a family that I can have a long term relationship with, as the children grow.
