My love for children started at the age of fifteen. I cared for an infant for several months. I aided in her various stages of development. In high school I took an extra class in early childhood; we had a small pre-k class so that we could work hands-on with the children. When I was eighteen, I took a position working as a shadow for a four-year-old child with autism. My job at first was to help him to interact with his peers in a healthy way, also to take daily logs of his progress. His parents then asked me to nanny him in their home. I worked with him on and off for eight years. I worked at various daycare centers and also nannied for two other families. Working with children has been a great joy in my life. I can promise you I will love and care for your child to the best of my ability.
