I started "babysitting" at age 12, have four children of my own. My youngest has severe food allergies. In high school I earned credits working in a daycare for three years, helping out with all activities and going on field trips with them. I home schooled all of my children in preschool, and the oldest halfway through the third grade. During that time I provided after school care for neighbors. I have been a substitute teacher for Lakeland School District, but after finding my youngest has food allergies, have been seeking employment where I can have him with me, or during evening/night hours when a family member can look after him. I am experienced with premature babies (my twins were premature at 26 1/2 months), and am certified in both First-Aid and CPR. I have provided weekend care for an autistic child and have a nephew with Asperger's, so have some experience in these areas. I believe all children are gifts from God, and each should be treated as a special treasure, because that is what they are.
