I have worked for six summers as a camp counselor and senior counselor. I planned and led activities for a group of 40 to 80 children ages 4 to 13 who were enrolled in the program. Activities included arts and crafts, reading, games, and help with daily needs. I received leadership training in conflict resolution, diversity and motivational techniques and applied these skills at camp. I have also babysat children ages 3, 4, 6 and 10. I cooked dinner for children, made sure that they completed their homework and brushed their teeth, and tucked them in for bed. After graduating college with a degree in Art and Design (with a concentration in Photography), I've realized that what I love the most in life is taking care of children. Whether it's helping resolve a conflict, tutoring them for school, answering the never-ending questions of "but, why?", or just helping a child create a new art project, I have finally realized that my passion in life is to care for children and help them grow up into amazing individuals.
