Hello, my name is Michelle and I am a junior nursing student in college! I have a lot of experience babysitting kids of relatives because I am trustworthy and responsible. I helped at a summer camp for two years with young kids so I have experience working with children. I also worked at a preschool at Braintree High School for two years. I helped out there as part of a class requirement and I loved it. The class took place every weekday; half of the week I would spend learning about child growth and development and how to interact with kids and the other half of the week I spent in the preschool applying everything I learned. I also had to come up with lesson plans and then execute them. I really learned a lot about how to help children based on how they develop psychologically and physically so I would say I have a lot of experience with that.
Last summer, I also babysat for about 5 different families. This job varied from occasional to one-time to daily care. I cared for children as young as 6 months to 9 years old. I really love kids, I'm studying to be a pediatric nurse. I am healthcare provider infant/child/adult CPR and AED certified. I have taken three different CPR courses through different organizations yearly so I am quite experienced with that. I will also be a certified nursing assistant as of December 2013, once I have completed my fall 2013 semester of clinicals in the hospital, so I know a lot about health-related issues.
I have my own car so I would be able to take the children anywhere needed and would be able to get to the house whenever. I would love to be able to take them places and help them really enjoy their summer! I would make a great babysitter for your kid(s) if you are looking for someone fun, energetic, yet reliable!
