I began my nanny position my Junior year of High School. I watched one girl the age of 9 until she was 12. My responsibilities required me to pick her up from school, to bring her to music lessons, riding lessons, etc. My Job required me to entertain Lauren in way not involving television. We spent a lot of time on crafts and playing outside. This family became a second family to me, and Lauren like a sister. However, I went off to college in West Virginia and was not able to keep my nanny position even though I have been asked to come back in summers. I have participated in many unpaid internships in high-school and college related to child care and teaching. I have been placed and observed classrooms from kindergarten to fifth grade. I am currently a Psychology major so I have knowledge of a child's development and their needs to excel . I also understand that as parents emergencies come up and am willing to help whenever available.
