I am 21 years old and I come from a large family. There are 7 kids in my family. I've been around young children all my life and it has always been something that I've truly enjoyed. I've been babysitting since I was about 14 years old. In the past few years, I've gained a lot of experience working with and being around children because I come from such a large family with 2 young brothers, ages 3 and 7, whom I take care of sometimes 4 days a week. I also have 2 nieces, 4 months and 2 years whom I also frequently babysit, sometimes as much as 4 or 5 days a week and occasionally overnight. I have 8 cousins ranging in ages 1 year to 12 years. I babysit 7 of them about once every other week for about 7 hours at a time and often I'm watching after 5 of them at one time. Along with all of those children, there are also 3 other children that I look after about once every other week, 2 of them being infants at about 4 months of age and the other is now 6 years old. It takes a lot of energy and sometimes the unusual hours can be a little stressful but it keeps me going and there is rarely a dull moment.
