I have been caring for children my entire life with three younger siblings both male and female. I enjoyed taking care of them so much that I became a counselor for a full time summer camp with an average of 70 children, ages five through 17. I got along great with all of them and the many different types of attention they required. I taught swim lesson for infants through teenagers, with abilities of beginners through advanced and a special needs class. During this time I earned certification for AED, Oxygen, CPR, First Aide and Life Saving for the Professional Rescuer. I had one year of volunteer work helping to put on retreats across the country for fifth through twelfth grade students, learning to work everyday non-stop with an upbeat attitude despite whatever situation is presented. I am patient and understanding, firm to the rules but quick to play. I am athletic, and as such I enjoy encouraging children with outdoor activities, swimming and teaching classical ballroom dancing, but I equally appreciate filling quieter pastimes with reading stories, tutoring, music and cooking. As much as I cherish my time with the children, I find a lot of joy in building solid relationships with their parents as well. Looking after the well-being of people makes me feel so complete that I am studying Biology and working towards a future in medicine. My purpose in finding a job of this sort is to pay the bills that will keep me in this area and allow me to thoroughly enjoy my walk every step of the way towards fulfilling my goals.
