My name is Michaela and I will be 20 in August of 2012. I have been babysitting/nannying since age 12 and I am extremely passionate about caring for children. I am currently enrolled as a junior at Elon University- Elementary Education major, Child Psychology minor. I am looking for a babysitting/nannying position with a local Elon family to last throughout the academic year. I have extensive experience caring for children ages 2 weeks to 13 years. I have a severely autistic brother and have extensive experience working with special needs children, especially those on the Autism spectrum. I have also provided care multiples and families with up to six children. I work/have worked as an RA, as an elementary tutor for low SES and refuge students, and as the Nursery Director for the 2 and under nursery at a local church. Due to my major, I frequently volunteer and student teach in local elementary schools, totaling over 60 hours this past year. With this experience I would be able to provide tutoring services and homework help to your children in addition to child care. I am currently employed as a day camp counselor for children ages 5-10 at a city park in Greensboro, NC. This position will expire come the end of August and I am looking to secure a position for the upcoming school year.
