I have been in the childcare business for 12 years, working with children ages 3 to 18. I am 30 years old and have a Bachelor's degree from Castleton State College. I have worked as a Nanny for three separate families and my own. As a Nanny I cared for two young girls who were so much fun. We had all sorts of fun outings especially going to the beach. I have a 12-year-old niece who I have watched since she was a baby and we do everything together because she is a blast. Also, I was a part-time live-in nanny for two teenage girls who definitely made me miss my teen years. Most recently I was a live in Nanny for two elementary aged boys whom are very smart and rambunctious. All of these children I love and learned a lot from.

The reason I am a nanny is to be involved with children on their level and emotional side not just the strict teaching side, but always keeping their best interests and safety on the top of my list. I believe children have always brought love and joy to my life. I hope I can return the favor. I have always had a feeling that children help me to be a better person because they are real and carry their emotions on their sleeves. The simple truth is that children are just so much fun to be around. To be a nanny makes me exuberant because it gives me the chance to form a bond with the children and their family. My childcare style consists of many things; trust, friendliness, honesty, rules, silliness, fun, discipline, proper judgment, problem solving, planning, communication, innovation, organization and those are not in any particular order.
Some of the things I think that are important and that I enjoy doing with children are; I love to play using imagination, making art where I give them creative freedom, playing games such as Mancala and Uno, playing outside to get some fresh air and cooking. In fact cooking is one of my favorite things to do. I also enjoy going on fun outings especially to museums. I will never forget the first time I went to the MET in New York City, I was around 9 years old, and it was the first time I saw the beautiful masterpieces I had only heard about. The idea of sharing my passions with your children would be my pleasure.
I love working with children it is the only thing I have ever wanted to do because they bring such joy to the world and especially to my life and I hope to have the privilege of meeting your family.
