Hi! My name is Mercedes and I have been babysitting ever since I was old enough to help out with my 3 little sisters. I graduated from Grand Valley State University in December 2011. I have worked this past year as a 4th grade teacher at a charter school and absolutely loved it. I would love to spend my summer with kids as well as I cannot imagine how much I will be missing my students.

For the past 10 years I have taken care of several families. It is always fun to see "my kids" grow up, but it also means that a lot of them are able to take care of themselves now, and I would love to start meeting more families! I have experience with all ages, but I spent most of my time watching a family with a 10 month year old baby girl, 4-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl.

I recently finished my 4th Summer as a sign language and team building counselor at a Day Camp. My favorite things to do with the campers (ranging from 3-13 years old,) are scavenger hunts, arranging theme days like 'Halloween in July,' or going on field trips to the zoo.

I love to swim, be outdoors, draw, and make up silly games to play with the kids I babysit. A babysitter should do more than just watch the kids watch TV; I try my best to actually entertain and provide a fun, safe environment while I am there. I have experience with children of all ages and love caring for them. I hope to meet your family soon. :)
