Currently I am working as a Nanny caring for baby girl twins but looking to change positions due to the hours going from full-time to part-time. This job started back in September just as I ended a 2 1/2 year nanny job caring for a little girl from age 3 months to 2 years old. That job ended due to her going into preschool & my hours being cut down.

My previous nanny experience includes caring for the grandchildren of church friends, two boys ages 3 1/2 & 2 years of age, working in day cares & preschools filling in for teachers & working as a teacher assistant. The nanny job prior to that was my caring for boy/girl twins from age 2 months to 3 years old. I also did baby-sitting work through agencies as an adult & during my senior year of high school I worked in a day care along with baby-sitting on/off since the 5th grade.

I have been around child care since the second grade. My mother was an at-home-mom & did baby-sitting for neighborhood children. I helped her with house hold chores & taking care of my younger brother. I had summer jobs until my senior year of high school when I worked at a day care. I got into babysitting again in my mid twenties & came across nanny work & knew that was the job for me.

If you are looking a mature, responsible & compassionate nanny, that is me. I love working with children & feel it is a very rewarding job. I take pride in my previous work experience & wish to continue working as a nanny as long as I can.

My nanny style is blending teaching with having fun when caring for children. I think it is important to keep children busy with different activities & encourage the things they are interested in. I like to read to children & help them learn the fundamentals that are needed in order to grow smart, happy & healthy. I believe in teaching manners & encourage independence for self-confidence.

I am very clean, tidy & organized. I am flexible & understand that a schedule does not always go according to plan. I feel that parents need time for themselves & encourage "date-night" or out of town weekends.

With exceptions, pets are okay with me as well as traveling with the family. I like the outdoors, music, arts/crafts & being active outside of the home with the children such as trips to the zoo, story time at libraries & play dates.

I am a non-smoker & drive a mini-van.

I am CPR/First Aid Certified and have background clearance papers provided.
