I have 4 grown children of my own and have done childcare/sitting over the past 24 years off and on, not including babysitting as a young teen. My experience has been with age groups ranging from 5 weeks to school age. I enjoyed being a mom so much that it was just natural for me to always have children around. I have done daycare in my home for years but am more willing at this point in time to travel to your home where the child would be more comfortable in his/her own environment. My children are grown and have moved out (except for my 15-year-old son). I rescued a dog from a shelter 2 years ago and would not want this to be an issue or additional concern for a parent. I truly miss having little ones around and I would love to make your child/children a new and fulfilling part of my life. In essence, I am a young want-to-be grandma that would happily lend my love to your family! As a child care provider/nanny, I will ensure your child will receive love, guidance, firm but positive reinforcement in the areas of respect for me and for others. I do not raise my voice, nor do I believe in any form of physical discipline. Discussions, reasoning, explanations, and time-outs (if necessary) work wonders.
