I am 43 and have 3 children of my own, 21, 17 and 9 (all girls), with well over 21 years of experience in childcare. When I was 18 I moved to Bloomfield Hills and was a live-in nanny, not only watching kids but ran errands, did grocery shopping and cleaned their huge home, a little too much but I stuck it out for awhile till moving back with my family and working as a dental assistant for 2 years. Then, I got married and over time had 3 girls of my own. I have home-schooled my middle child (now 16 and in cosmetology school, part-time, and an A student). I eventually plan on homeschooling my youngest, who is now 9 years old, but for now, will keep her in public school, until I feel she can be better served outside of public school. I love the baby/ toddler years, and believe in never underestimating how much a little one can learn through a rich environment filled with attention and interaction.
Presently I work part-time at a bank as a teller but my first love is working with children and if I found the right family and they found me that would be my first priority over the bank.
