I have watched children ever since I was a teenager. The families that I have sat for have ranged from all girls to all boys, and then a mix of both. I have handled children of all age groups, from infants to youth. Each experience has been different because each child is a person of their own, so I tend toward their specific needs. We might do crafts, spend a day at the park, play games, etc. I also cook and clean up after myself. I am capable of getting children up in the morning, putting them down for bed, and getting them to where they need to go. I have watched children on overnights for their parents, whole days, or just evenings for them to have some alone time outside of the house. I love children. I was a camp counselor for a summer, and can't begin to describe how enriching the experience was (in those instances I was taking care of five girls for two weeks at at time). You get to love kids, watch them grown, and just be their friend. Between sitting, youth work, hosting child care, and camps I have spent a lot of my time around children and just love being a part of their lives. I am passionate about investing in children and seeing their potential grow.
