I have been caring for children (infants to teenagers) for 11 years. I love kids. I have done hundreds of babysitting jobs ranging from a few hours with a parent at home working to afternoon jobs that went well into the late hours of the night. I have babysat up to 7 kids at once with multiple pets running around. I was a nanny for a family (3 kids: ages 2, 3 & 5) several times when they went out of the country and away for weekend vacations. I still nanny for them today with their kids now ages 5, 6 & 8. While in college, I was a nanny for a recently divorced father of two kids ages 8 & 9. I was at home for them when they got done with school, prepared a snack and helped with homework until their dad arrived home from work. I also prepared dinner for their family some nights when I knew their father would be working later. Throughout my babysitting and nanny jobs, I have cooked many, many meals, cleaned, gone to the pool with the kids, driven and taken the kids to the rec. center/pool, driven to various sports/dance practices and games, been to birthday parties, played outside, given showers/baths, dried, styled, braided hair, and of course, given many bedtime kisses and stories! I am also a certified EMT, so I am capable of dealing with anything from a scraped knee to much worse!
