I have always loved working with children, watching them grow and being a part of their development and experiences. This is why I have decided to pursue a career working with them. I am currently attending college part-time, for Pediatric Occupational Therapy and Childhood Development. I would love to find a family that I can be with for many years. I have worked with special needs children and a child with a tracheotomy. I am experienced with many different age groups from 3-month-olds to 13-year-olds. I am currently working for a family with 2 children as a nanny for over a year. I am also the leader of a Girl Scout troop for 3 years now. I am driven and motivated. My previous employers have described me as mature, honest, dependable, caring and passionate. Not only would I be a sitter for your family, but I would like to build positive relationships with your children, reinforce academics at home and encourage them to be the best they can be. I would also like to incorporate arts and crafts, sports and games. I am a big fan of classical music and I often play it while visiting - I find it calms the children. After every visit, I give parents a chart documenting activities, snacks/meals, diaper changes and any other information you may need of the events of my visit. I am a very clean person and will always leave a space cleaner than it was before. I often help with laundry and dishes without question. I have my own reliable transportation with a backseat for car seats and I am able to transport children, if needed. I am fully insured with a clean driving record. I am also First Aid certified as of 2011 and CPR certified as of 2012 and working on becoming a certified Lifeguard. My rates are simple, for children over 6 months old, I start at $10/hour for one child and $3 for every extra child. Children under 6 months are $12/hour. I am willing to negotiate if necessary.

Please note, I am currently in college and working full time so I am just looking for some occasional babysitting. I am not able to commit to more than one evening a week.

I am also gay family friendly. I respect every family's beliefs and values and will enforce them, even if they are not the same as my own.
