I am a 21-year-old college student going to get my Masters in the Human Service field- primarily to work with children. I am majoring in Sociology with a Concentration in Human Service and a minor in deaf studies. I have had a lot of experience with children. At age 11 I was a mother helper- turned baby sitter when I was 13 for the same family. I have also had several other babysitting jobs with kids in many different age groups with many different interest and I have experience with kids with cognitive delays. I have several young cousins who I interact with and take care of and I just did an internship at the children's home of Poughkeepsie as part of my school degree and I'm currently enrolled in another at St. Frances Preschool. At the children's home I helped take care of children from newborn to 16, creating activities, helping them with their homework and playing with them. At my current internship I work with children with developmental delays and help create an atmosphere where learning is easier and more helpful to the kids. I am a very fun loving person as well as responsible and hard working. I do my best to come up with fun things to do with the kids as well as being for there whenever I am needed. I get along very well with people.
