My passion for working with children began 6 years ago when I was providing in-home care for an infant and two young boys. This passion led me to pursue Educator roles in community gardens, a gardening center, a nature preserve and an educational farm, where I have worked with children of all ages. Through these experiences I have gained an understanding of the wonderful world of childhood and the importance of nurturing it by providing rich and meaningful experiences and good role modeling. I currently tutor two young children in creative play experiences and handwork. I also lead a story time adventure program for preschool age children. In addition I am furthering my knowledge and skill set by pursuing a Master's degree in Early Childhood Development. I am very passionate about nature connection and its role in a child's development. I believe strongly in nurturing a young child's imagination and creativity as a strong basis for adaptability and flexibility in future learning and growing.
