I have always loved children of all ages, toddlers and infants specifically. I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old and at that time I was watching a family with 3 children under the age of 6. I have babysat for several families since then. Last year I worked in a daycare center for nearly 6 months until it was closed down. I love being around children, they are fascinating to me. Their energy and imagination thrills me. When I babysit I do not choose to sit children in front of a TV unless I am told by the parents to do so. I enjoy interacting with the children. I have taken a few courses on children in school: child psychology, children's play, and theories of childhood. Each of these classes I learn the stages of childhood and why they do what they do and I have very much enjoyed applying what I've learned and seeing children in a new light.
