I am 19 years old and have been babysitting since I was 14. Currently I had studying Early Childhood education, and have worked with children in many different setting. I have volunteered and observed in several different schools in grades ranging from pre-k to eighth. I have also volunteered assistant teaching several primary level dance classes for the past five years. This experience has had me working with children ages three to eight. Currently I work at Applause Academy in Taunton which is a theater based after school program. The kids that I work with there range from age six to 15. My experience at Applause Academy has given me even more hands on experience with children and lead me to believe that pursuing a career in Education. When I babysit I think that it is important to keep children engaged and active. I like to do things like art projects, basic cooking projects, play games, and spend time outside. I like to keep the kids I babysit active and having fun while I am with them because I think it makes them feel very comfortable with me. I am comfortable helping with school work, providing the children with meals, and following a bed time routine.
