I currently work as a special education teacher working with children ranging in ages from 6 years old to 10 years old. I have worked in this type of position teaching specialized reading and math with elementary students over the last 10 years. Additionally, I grew up babysitting my neighbors as well as my younger brothers and sisters. More formally, I worked as a nanny for three years just two years ago. I provided after school and evening care four days a week. The children, a boy and a girl, were ages three and six when I started and were seven and nine when I ended. I resigned from this position to continue my education and have spent the past two years using my free time working towards a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in reading. Prior to that nanny position, my additional part time jobs consisted of reading/writing tutoring and teaching kids cooking classes.
