I'm a young adult babysitter seeking a part-time position in caring for children from 12 months and up. I've had years of experience caring for a very rowdy younger brother, in addition to several years experience babysitting the children of family members and family friends. I am most knowledgeable about caring for children from ages 3 and up, but have worked with children as young as 13 months.

My responsibilities for previous childcare included bath time, getting the children ready for bed, meals and snacks, cleaning up (picking up toys, making beds, etc.), diaper changes, maintaining a safe environment through careful monitoring and making sure doors were locked, windows closed, and so on, and engaging the kids in play time both indoors and outside.

Most recently, I was a nanny for two wonderful boys ages 3 and 6 during the summer of 2011, with responsibilities ranging from watching and playing with the boys to cleaning and assisting in cooking.

I have also worked for a small office before as their weekly cleaning lady, so I am more than willing to do light housework such as dishes, vacuuming, wiping down counters, making beds, and general picking up around the house.

I'm currently pursuing a degree in education at the University of Texas in the hopes of one day becoming a middle school English teacher. I am passionate about learning and reading, and would like to dedicate my life to helping children create a brighter future. I know that any childcare experience I can receive before graduating will make me a better teacher and further my dedication!
