I am looking for a nanny job because I prefer the one on one relationship that I have with children, as opposed to the classroom setting. I recently received my Bachelor of Social Science Degree and would consider myself a life long learner.
The reason I am changing careers is because I love being with children even though the they are a challenge, the rewards always out weight the work.
I was a single parent who needed to find care for my children, I know the difficulties in trusting a stranger when you would rather be home with your own child. I am the person you can trust. I will treat your children like they are my own.
I was a kindergarten teacher for 2 years, taught as a substitute for 5 years and was a nanny for 3 years.

On my last job the children were 1 and 3, a boy and a girl who were both home for the day. We did crafts, puzzles, played outside, laughed and I made breakfast, lunch and dinner gave baths and got them ready for bed. The challenge was getting them out from in front of the television. Once they understood the idea of playing it was a lot easier.
Another job I had, was to pick up a third grade boy and help with homework. I organized his paperwork and communicated with the mother about notes she got from the teacher.
