Mary was our nanny for only a few months, unfortunately she had to relocate to FL. If it wasn't for that she would have been with our family for many years. Our first son was born in June of 2012. After 8 weeks I had to return to work. This was such a struggle, as I am sure it is for any new mom. Mary made me feel so comfortable right away. I had made arrangements to transition back to work slowly and work out of my home for the first few weeks. I left working from home after 3 days! There were times I felt he was in better hands with Mary, after all she raised two amazing girls. I turned to her for advice so many times. She was a great source of knowledge and experience, which I of course lacked at first. I missed my little boy every single day, but I can honestly say I never once had to worry. I knew he was getting the best care possible. Mary treated my baby like he was her own. I would often walk in the door and hear both of them laughing, playing games and reading stories. It was obvious they both enjoyed their days together and that made me so happy. When he rolled over the first time, Mary was able to grab my video camera and capture the moment and excitedly showed me when I walked in the door. Only another mother would have been so thoughtful and understand how important it was to include me in that moment. Although my family lost Mary way too soon, I am thankful she was there is those first few months. She gave me the opportunity to figure out how to be a first time working mom. I am so grateful that we had the opportunity to have Mary with us and I am jealous of the family that gets to have her next. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our experience with her and any family would be crazy to not scoop her up immediately. I would be more than happy to speak to any family interviewing her. Mary, I am happy to report he is crawling now. That is 100% thanks to you. I wasn't tough enough to put him on his belly like you were....he really hated that at first!
