Hello, my name is Mary Ann S. I would love to help you! I have been a live-in and live-out nanny and baby sitter for children of all ages and a housekeeper for many years. I have lived in Utah for 25 years. I have a bachelors degree in secondary education from Southern Utah University, but I have found that I prefer to work with younger groups in a more personable setting. I have cared for several children at the same time and am comfortable with large groups, being from a family with 11 children, 8 of which are younger than me. I babysat younger siblings from infancy through teen years. I babysat many children and babies through middle school and high school. After college, I did some volunteer work caring for children because I enjoyed it so much, at which time I realized I had a passion for it and decided being a nanny was what I wanted to do. I genuinely love children, and I feel I have a gift for understanding their feelings and sensing their needs. I can relate well to them and bring out the best in their individual personalities. I am very conscious of the safety and surroundings of children, so you can feel safe leaving them in my care. I have high moral standards and will provide an excellent role model for your children. I have clean language and I am positive, energetic, and kind. I learned my values from the LDS religion, but do not require you to be LDS and do not push my religion on non-LDS families. I am a talented artist, marathon winner, and still hold the steeple chase record at SUU in track, where I had a full ride scholarship for running. I am a personal trainer, went to massage school, and play piano and trumpet. I can teach children many subjects including swimming, social dance, gymnastics, ballet, soccer, pageantry, cooking, nutrition, algebra, chemistry, etc. I have tutored children and teens in various subjects and substitute taught in multiple schools. Please note that I have allergies to smoke and cats and dogs, so I charge $20 per hour if pets are ever allowed or have previously been on carpets, rugs, or furniture.
