I have worked with children and their families in a variety of settings. It all began about 14 years ago when I took an assistant teaching position with the Cooperative Children's Center in Seattle. Next, I landed my first position as a Lead Preschool Teacher in Olympia, WA, where I moved when I transferred colleges.

I graduated from The Evergreen State College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and worked as an Assistant Teacher for five years at a school in WI that integrated kids with special needs with kids who were typically developing. There, I learned how to integrate sign language into teaching young children. Later I took a Lead Toddler Teacher position in CO.

Next I made the switch to working in families' homes, with the help of one of the local Denver nanny agencies. I got my first position working as a nanny in 2009. The boys were 8 and 9 years old. I missed working with younger children, however, so I began doing temp nanny work. I have several families that I work for now, but I am seeking something more consistent. I currently teach Mommy and me "Artistic Tots" classes on Tuesdays, and I have a family that I nanny for every Thursday.
