The summer before I started my undergraduate degree I was a part-time nanny to two boys ages 3 and 18 months. As a sophomore in college, I looked after two children after-school for three days a week and provided additional babysitting as needed. I also began caring for an infant from March to September 2003 two days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p. m. Since then I have worked in a preschool and as a 1:1 aide for a child with special needs in a daycare facility. In addition to working as a 1:1 aide in school, I continued to work with families at home after their children had moved on from the preschool program.
