I am a 25-year-old Los Angeles native, and a graduate of the University of Southern California (go Trojans!), with a degree from the USC school of Cinematic Arts in Critical Studies and a degree from the USC school of Letters, Arts and Sciences in American Studies. I have always loved children, and worked with them in various capacities throughout high school and college. I was a camp counselor for several summers during college, and worked as a Storyteller/Manager at beloved children's bookstore Storyopolis during the summer of 2008. But it wasn't until I graduated from college in 2009 that I began to work with children on a regular basis. I spent a wonderful two years after I graduated from college (2009-2011) as the nanny to two fantastic boys, as well as working as a children's dance teacher at Creation Station Dance in West Hills and Culver City, where I taught 45-50 minute ballet, tap, jazz, creative movement, and hip hop classes to children from the ages of 18 months-12 years old. After that I nannied for a year and a half for a lovely family in Studio City, caring for an 8-year-old girl and 10-year-old boy. I am also a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certified Hatha Yoga instructor, though I am currently pursuing a career in writing. I have a background in dance, choreography, yoga, painting, and of course, storytelling. My imagination and energy are central to my love of children. I have learned over these past few years that there are few things more exciting than watching children discover the world, and themselves, as they learn and grow. It is a privilege for me to get to be a part of their journey.
