I love working with children and I think that it is not a job to be taken lightly. I think children deserve respect and they need positive role models in life. I feel I can provide a fun, safe and enjoyable environment for any family. I loved working with multiple families at the child care center and building friendships. I was able to meet so many amazing children while working at the child care center that I was able to baby-sit some during weekends. I think building bonds to where a family accepts you into their home is very special because children are gifts. I accept the responsibility of caring for a stranger's children but it's the bond with the child and the family that makes wanting to be a nanny worthwhile.
I worked as an assistant group supervisor for ages 5 to 12. I also worked in the toddler room and preschool rooms. I was in charge of maintaining a safe learning environment for a group of 40 children during summer camp. I also created a dance team for the school age children and had a performance for friends and family at the end of camp. I was responsible for building and maintaining relationships with parents, fellow employees, director and children. I wrote curriculum activities and made certain that my room stayed within the state guidelines of teacher/child ratio. I worked with children with mental disabilities and disorders.
I have worked for a family with 2-year-old twins (boy and girl) and another family with 1-, 2- and 4-years old; two girls and a boy. I handle stress well and I have excellent time management skills. I love to cook and bake! I also do not mind doing some light housework. I have experience assisting in potty training and language development. I love playing outdoors and utilizing all the wonderful parks and attractions that Pittsburgh has to offer. I am not one for allowing the TV to become the baby sitter. I love doing arts and crafts and reading stories.

Recently, I worked as a house manager for a family in Washington County. I worked there for 11 months and learned a great deal about running a household and caring for two children. I assisted in all household chores/duties ranging from grocery shopping and basic errands to cleaning two multi-story homes and preparing dinner for the family nearly every night. I was also a tutor and helped with projects/papers and attended parent-teacher conferences. I worked some weekends and extended stays and overnights.

I love to cook and bake. My last job allowed me to experiment with various recipes. I also am a clean freak. I write a nanny blog. I am in the beginning stages of writing my first book.
