I have worked as an after school counselor working with children between the ages from the ages three to 10 years old. These children were at risk of being left behind their grade level, and required a lot of patience especially pertaining to their behavior. Some of them were diagnosed with having ADD or ADHD. The majority of them were having problems with Language Arts and also Math.
While working there I discovered that I do care about children and I have a lot of patience when it comes to children.
While raising my children as a homemaker, I had the opportunity of raising other children from my church congregation. These parents wanted a reliable person who could keep their children even when they were ill.
