Maria's Bio

I graduated from West Chester May 2010 with a BA in Spanish and a teaching certificate. Last year I taught Spanish K-8. My son was born this past March 10th and I am looking to pick up a full time nanny position with a family that would allow me to bring him along. I'll be available to start toward the end of April.

Brighid K. says:
We have been very happy with Maria's work at our home. She is a very thoughtful babysitter, who puts my children at ease and engages them in a variety of creative activities. She is very organized, makes healthy meals for them, and cleans up things as my children play with her. Also, she encourages playing rather than TV watching, unlike other babysitters I have had. We will be moving away from this area... More

Meg P. says:
Maria has quickly integrated herself into our boys daily routines. She easily engages with the boys and focuses on providing creative and innovative activities with them that they look forward to. What I truly appreciate as a Mom is that she is so in tune with how we want situations to be handled and it provides continuity and consistency for our boys.

Nicole M. says:
Maria was a very sweet and caring young woman who came extremely prepared for her interview. She has a commitment to education which is a great bonus, especially for older children. Maria was also quite good about keeping in touch with us regarding scheduling and availability.

Karen C. says:
I was running 10 mins. late due to a terrible thunder storm and left Maria voice mails, called her cell several times and left her a message on your Care site. When I arrived for our 7:30 pm scheduled interview at 7:40, she was not here, didn't leave me a note and nor did she try to contact me. This is terrible behavior and I would never in trust her with my child. Please alert other mothers.

Maria W. responds:
I came to Karen's house on time but I had forgotten my phone on the kitchen counter. I waited for 20 minutes and then left because my grandmother had been taken into the hospital that morning. By the time I checked care. com Karen had already left me a message saying that she was no longer interested in interviewing me. So I responded that I wish her the best in finding the right babysitter.
