My experience as a babysitter began 9 years ago working weekend nights and watching the neighborhood children. While in college, I babysat part-time for 3 families with school-aged children. In these positions I prepared the children for school, made them breakfast, brought them to school, picked them up from school, prepared snacks, did laundry, brought them to their afternoon activities, helped them with their homework, played games and did arts and crafts with them, prepared dinner, and put them to bed.
For the past 2 years I have been a full-time nanny for an amazing family in Belmont. Currently, the children are 3, 2, and 1 month. I thrive on teaching the children and having fun with them. I keep the children active, take them on mini adventures, do both big and small projects, and coach them through their developmental milestones. Although English is my first language, I speak both Greek and Spanish and enjoy teaching the children a little bit of both. Some of the most rewarding things to me are to see a big smile and receive a big hug when I walk through the door and to hear them repeat something or execute a task that I taught them. I have had the experience of traveling to Maine and St. Maarten with the family as well as overnights if the parents went away. As the 3-year-old girl and 2-year-old boy can recite, my motto is to keep them "safe, happy, and healthy and to teach them as much as I can along the way. "
I am looking for a part-time position, because I will be returning to school for my masters in Radiology in September. The family I work for requires a full-time schedule. Therefore, I will only be working with them on Saturdays so I can still be a part of the children 's lives.
I would love to become a part of your family as well!
