I have been working with children for several years and have had many positive experiences interacting with children and watching them grow. I enjoy the surprises they bring to the day and how they always make me smile.
Currently, I am a student at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire with a focus on preschool, early childhood special education. My experiences include the following:

1)Working as a babysitter for several families in my neighborhood since I was 13 years old.

2)Summer nanny for one of the neighbor families that included caring for a 4th and 6th grader.

3)My senior year of high school, I worked part time at a preschool center after school.

4)During my first two years of college, I was involved in AmeriCorps and volunteered at a local elementary school and worked with pre-school children. In this classroom I had the privilege to work with general education students and students with learning disabilities. I also worked in a second grade classroom and worked with small groups of children to improve reading levels.

5)As a part time job during my first two years of college, I worked at KinderCare Learning Center in the infant section caring for children age 3 months to 18 months.

6)While attending the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire, I became involved in the Best Buddies program, which allowed me to become a mentor to a person in the community with a disability.

7)Also, through my studies at UW Eau Claire, I spent time in a classroom observing and working with children with language disabilities and learning disabilities. I spent time during my winter break in a classroom in Minnesota observing general education children and children with special needs.
