In my 8 years of working in the child development profession, I have garnered extensive knowledge of the development needs of children from birth through early adolescents; through hands on experience, work related training; completion of training modules, seminars, and through other developmentally appropriate resource materials.

I have been working in the infant, pre-toddlers, toddlers, preschool, and school-age room of San Luis Rey Child Development Center where my duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to caring for children, creating and maintaining an environment that is safe, sanitary, and stimulating, which encourages multi-sensory exploration, motor skill development and promotion of early language acquisition. I am able to create and implement my own developmentally appropriate activities which promote and enhance cognitive, social, fine and gross motor skills. I truly love interacting with the children in my care. I am especially touched when I am witness to any developmental milestone such as the utterance of a first word, a first tooth, a first step. I feel honored and privileged to know that I have played a role in the development and growth of these children.
