I am 50 years old (divorced-single). I have worked in education most of my life (non-profit organizations/public school). My most recent employment was as a certified teacher's assistant. I was laid off due to downsizing this past Fall (2010). I have three daughters that live in the Austin area, and I have chosen to relocate here to be closer to them. I have worked for wonderful families in the past and it seems as though people have found me by "word of mouth". I have always been involved with babysitting/nanny and private sitters. I was able to do what I enjoy and also the means to make extra money.
My training has afforded me to teach various age groups of children, ranging from Early Childhood, and 1st to 9th grade, Regular Ed./Special Ed.

I am interested in long-term employment in the 78748 area or somewhat south Austin. I would consider sitting in the evenings for couples who would like to have a "date night" or evening out with friends. I would like to meet the family and visit with you prior to being hired of course.
Work past:

I was a nanny for children-birth to three years of age (three different families). I had taught as a caregiver in many different capacities such as private school, home and public school districts.

I am trustworthy, dependable, patient, caring, soft spoken, and will always make sure that the child/adult are always treated with respect and dignity no matter what the age or circumstance.
