Our son attended Margie's Daycare in Lombard since he was 3 months old. He is now almost 6. As working parents, we wanted to find a home setting that would provide our son with a loving, nurturing, stimulating, fun and secure environment. This is what we found and so much more at Margie's Daycare. We are writing this letter to let other parents know that this is the best daycare you can imagine. All expectations, hopes and wishes for our son's care and educational needs have more than been exceeded. The L. welcomes your child every single day. The greeting that our son gets everyday is truly heartwarming. It is complete with true excitement to see Ryan, interest in what he is wearing, how his night went, etc. Makes you feel very secure in leaving your child in her. We feel that our whole family has become part of Margie's large extended family. The caring tone that you consistently overhear at Margie's is so remarkable. The amount of patience, compassion and humor that she provides the children with daily is how every parent wants their little sweetie to be treated. Our son learned everything from his ABC's, numbers, letter and number recognition, opposite and same game, shapes, learning to color and write and beginning reading. He came home with completed workbook papers, notebooks and artwork every week. Margie also teaches kids safety skills and what to do in a fire or what to do if they are ever lost. Margie teaches these serious things in a way that does not scare the kids. Kids also learn life skills like sharing, patience, understanding and love. They eat nutritional meals and snacks and play in the large backyard/playground area outside as well as the teaching area/playroom inside. Have you seen the teaching/play area downstairs... we think it is very impressive. The love and patience Margie shows to our child makes us realize how lucky we are to have found a place we can call our home away from home. Margie, Gina and Dan are beyond caring and loving.
