I have raised 2 children to be responsible adults. I am now a grandmother of a 2-year-old who I am also caring for. While raising my own children, I was a girl scout leader for 8 years. I coached and was an assistant coach in soccer and softball. I felt it was my job to see they were well rounded and a firm believer that learning begins in the home and should be fun! I think books and reading are important tools to any education, as well as music, art and sports. We had pets, which also helps with teaching responsibility. I have always loved children and was a special needs teacher's aide for grades 1, 2, and 3 for a year. I have my BSL certificate and an associates degree in Medical Assisting.
Your child will be considered one of the family. I like to get out and go to the park on nice days or just go for walks and play in the yard. Also take trips to the Aquarium and Botanical Gardens once or twice a month. Playing games and arts and crafts are a daily thing.
I will be caring for your child/children in my home which has a yard and ample room for children to move around. We also have 2 cats.
