I enjoy taking care of children of all ages. I have worked in 3 different daycare centers. In each center I was able to work with children from 6 weeks to 4 years of age. When working with children under one I was able to provide basic care along with learning entertainment such as building blocks that aloud them to learn to hold and carry things. I was able to teach 1 and 2 years old to use their words, a potty, eat with silverware, use cups, along with basic sign language and how to work together in groups. The 3 and 4 years old were able to learn to write numbers and letters and to color inside the lines. I enjoyed doing various activities for each age group. Growing up I was able to help take care of younger siblings, cousins and neighbors of all ages. I was a camp team leader for 2 summers. Where the children were taught outdoor activities such as archery and fishing. I am currently taking a break from school taking time for myself and spending time with my husband as newlyweds. When I return I plan to go back as a sign language interpreter and hopefully work with children learning to cope with being deaf.
