After becoming a mother and returning to work in child care, I have decided I want to be with my child as well as other children. With that being said, I would require being able to bring my child (7-month-old) to any child care site, and of course, if you choose to have your child brought to my home, my child is also present. I have over 12 years experience working with children from ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. While working for a large child care provider for the past four years, I have taught in all classrooms (infant, toddler, preschool, pre-kindergarten and school age). During my teaching, I have planned lessons that are age appropriate and fun. Activities I have engaged children in includes mathematical, science, art, music, reading and letter recognition, as well as computer discovery. During the time when I was a nanny, some of my responsibilities included but were not limited to transporting children, assisting with homework, light housekeeping, preparing meals, playing games, doing crafts and assisting with children's morning routine. I would be more than happy to be a part of your child/children's life and encourage their learning through discovery and play.
