I am 19 years old and graduated high school in May 2012. I have worked with children since I was 12 years old. I have babysat children from the ages 1-12. I have been involved in an extra-curricular activity at my high school where we go to local elementary schools and talk to the 4th grade students about bullying, peer-pressure, friendship, etc. I have also worked closely with 3rd and 5th graders, tutoring them in Reading and Math. I completed the A+ program with 50+ hours of tutoring throughout my high school career. I have also been in a class for a semester teaching and helping special education students for an hour a day. I have taken child care and advanced child care classes during high school. In advanced child care, you mentor and teach a preschool class. I worked part-time at a local daycare for 11 months (July 2011-June 2012). I worked for 3 months with the pre-k students (ages 4-5), then moved to a class with 4 1/2-year-old children each day. I was in this classroom for 7 months. My job duties included feeding, changing diapers, supervising, cleaning, and playing with the kids. I need to find a caregiving job that will allow me to work several days/week. I am also available on weekends and if you need an occasional sitter. I am willing to work any time. I am a person who is respectful, honest, caring, kind, positive, reliable, and responsible. I have a passion for working with children and plan to obtain a 4 year degree in psychology to become a child life specialist. Being a nanny/caregiver will offer me continued experience as I begin to enter my career in counseling and comforting children.

I've acquired 2 jobs through Care.com, each turning out to be wonderful. During summer 2012, I was a caregiver 5 days/week for a 5-year-old. I am currently still an occasional night out care giver for a family.

A little about me: I am 19 years old and plan to attend NWMSU in the fall of 2012 until the spring of 2016. I have a twin sister. I enjoy the outdoors and being active. In my free time I like to swim, be with friends and family and play basketball. I scrapbook, read, and attend church quite often. My strong faith is the most important thing in my life. My favorite books are The Hunger Games Trilogy. The music I listen to varies, but for the most part I listen to K-Love.

I am looking for occasional caregiving jobs during the summer months (mid May-late August) of 2013 in Blue Springs, MO.

I love animals and am also willing to pet sit.
