The summer after my sophomore year of college I began being a nanny everyday for a family with 1 and 3-year-old girls. The 3-year-old had special needs and was partially blind and deaf. I have also worked for three years for a family with eight kids ranging in age from 6 months to 16. For a year and a half after graduating college, I worked as a preschool teacher in a classroom of 3-year-old's. I moved to Chicago in August of 2009 and spent almost a year and a half nannying for a family with twin girls who were around 3 years old at the time. In January 2011, I was presented with the opportunity to do a nanny share and care for two family's infant girls. I have truly enjoyed the nanny share. It has been a great experience and I would gladly continue if it weren't for the additions of siblings to each family, and the mother's decisions to stop working. After my wide range of experience I feel very comfortable with multiple children and began a second "nanny share" in March of 2012. I cared for two infants from the age of 2 and 3 months, until just after their first birthdays at the end of March when my husband and I relocated to Louisville, KY. I would love to continue caring for children, at least part time. I believe I am the most experienced candidate you will find and I can honestly say I'm wonderful at what I do. I have formed so many lasting relationships with the children and families I have worked for and saying goodbye was truly heartbreaking.
