My childcare experience began in high school. Even at that age, I had received extensive training through Girl Scouts, including volunteering as a counselor at a Girl Scout summer camp. Since then, I have worked for many families with children of all ages. Throughout college, I worked as a teaching aide at a local summer school program and during the school year I mentored middle school students at an inner-city school as part of the Big Brothers/ Big Sisters program. If you are looking for a babysitter who can also tutor/ help with homework, I've tutored many students over the years. I have always been passionate about teaching and learning. I find helping young people realize their academic potential extremely rewarding.

As a babysitter, it is very important to me that I understand the parents' expectations of both me as the care-giver and of their children. I am assertive and fair but also nurturing and fun. I take the job of caring for children very seriously. I am vigilant and engaged as well as engaging. I enjoy hands-on activities with children, such as reading, playing board games, dressing up, and doing arts and crafts. I always do my best to respect the wishes of the parents and provide a stable and safe environment for their children while they are away.
