I graduated from UW Madison this spring and will be taking summer classes at Carroll University this summer.
Being the oldest of 4 children in my family, I enjoyed helping my mother raise my younger siblings at an early age. From changing their diapers to teaching them how to drive, I have been very involved in their lives.
Other than being the "little mom" around the house, I started babysitting cousins and neighbors ages 3 months to 9 years about 10 years ago. From a few hours here and there to weeks at a time, I enjoy every minute I spent with the little ones.
Several interesting experiences that I have include working with a young girl starting at the age of 4 months who was born with Spina Bifida and a few other health problems. I have been with her for 7 years now through her countless doctor appointments, therapies, and surgeries. This past school year I babysat for two families in the Madison area. One family had four boys ages 6, 4, 2, and 6 months. The other family had one 3-year-old where I served as the "on-call mommy" when the husband was away for work and the mother got called in for her doula care.
