Hi Mom and/or Dad!

My name is Lyssa. I am 28 years old and I love working with children of all ages. I am an energetic, creative, loving, and nurturing caregiver. My experiences with children come from being a Nanny for 3 months for a then 9-month-old, working as a Therapeutic Staff Support Therapist for almost 2 years implementing therapeutic interventions outlined in treatment plan with Autism Spectrum Disorder clients in the home/community, and school settings. I also have experience working with teenagers that have severe behavior and/or emotional disturbances. I am also an on-call Respite Worker, recently working with an 11-year-old child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (low functioning with physically aggressive tendencies, while the mother was out of the country. I provided intensive around the clock care for 4 boys, 10-21, while parents were out of town. Lastly, I cared for a 6-year-old child with a disorder on the Autism Spectrum in the high functioning range, 3-5 hours a day, sometimes overnights when needed.
I love teaching kids new and fun ways to learn, through games, food, outdoor activities, etc. I truly believe you can nurture and educate a child in fun easy ways, most of the time without them even knowing they are doing work.
Currently with the price of gas and other expenses my target pay rate is $14-15 per hour.
