I have been doing child care for more than 20 years. When my 22-year-old daughter started school, I returned to school and received my Certified Nursing Assistant degree. I worked at a special needs school in the clinic. We had children with severe special needs within the public school system ages 3 to 22. I worked there for seven school years until my youngest daughter was born in 2004.
During my time there, I also did respite care for several of my students from the school. I continued to do so even after I left my position at the school for a year or so.
We moved here to Louisville a little more than 6 years ago. Since moving here, I have worked with several different families providing in home childcare. I have many educational toys for different ages and stages. I have two cribs, 2 toddler beds, several pack-n-plays, baby swings, and all kinds of things available to care for your children. I currently sit for one family with a 2 1/2-year-old full time and for my 3-year-old granddaughter part time. We try to go out and about to various playgroups, parks, story times, and different activities based on children's ages and the weather. I work on different preschool activities as well.
I also do evening and weekend childcare in your home or mine.
