From a young age, I have been watching over children. I started working at a local daycare here in Knoxville at the age 18 for almost 2 years. I was responsible for the 1-year-old class. I had up to 10 children per day. My duties included arts and crafts suitable for their age, feeding, putting the kids down for naps, changing diapers/pull-ups, and play time outside. I have also babysat for 3 different families on a regular basis. The most recent family had a 4-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy when I started. I watched those children for 3 years. I would stay all day with the kids through the summer. During the school year, I would meet them at the bus stop, make sure they had a snack, did homework, would help them do their daily chores also help keep the house tidy, and most important PLAY time. I also would take them to any practices/games they had if the parents had to work. I would feed them dinner, give them a bath and get them in bed by the requested bedtime per the parents. I traveled some with the family as well. I LOVE children; it's my passion to work with kids! I work a Monday- Friday, 8-5 job now and would love to find something through the weeknights and weekends.
