My first job was as an after school care instructor in a tae kwon do school, where I worked for two years and dealt with children from the ages of 5-13. My responsibilities included, assisting the children with their homework, preparing them for their tae kwon do classes, entertaining them during their free time, and even teaching them tae kwond o. A few years after leaving this job, I was referred by them to work in an elementary school. Here I was also an after care giver/tae kwon do instructor. My responsibilities in the school included planning the curriculum to 6 different classes of tae kwon do. Each class consisted in a range of 7-20 children per class, with children anywhere from 5-11 years of age. Here I had to pick up the children from their respective classes and take them to the tae kwon do class, to then teach them for an hour. I had to prepare them for both, their belt promotions and tae kwon do demonstrations for their parents, which happened periodically. I worked here for 4 years.
